What Green Flags Actually Look Like In Real Life

We spent so many years teaching women to spot red flags that we forgot to show them what a green one even looks like. So they walk right past safe men because safe does not spike their nervous system the way chaos did.

A green flag is not fireworks. A green flag is a man who says he will call at seven and calls at seven. It is unremarkable on purpose. It is a text that says drive safe with no agenda attached to it.

It is a man who lets you be in a bad mood without making your bad mood his emergency. Who asks a real question and then is quiet while you answer it. Who tells you what he wants plainly instead of testing whether you can guess.

Here is the part nobody warns you about: green flags can feel like nothing at first. No adrenaline. No wondering. You may even feel a little bored, and mistake that boredom for a lack of chemistry. It is not. It is the absence of fear. You have just never felt it in a relationship before.

Give the quiet ones a chance to be quiet at you for a while. Steady is not the consolation prize. Steady is the whole thing you have been asking for.

You deserved to finally hear the truth.— Bigole Texan
